Finally, a *Passively* Multiplayer Online Game!

PMOG transforms our web surfing into ongoing social play. With a Firefox plug-in, players can bomb each other, wage war over web sites, and lead other users on web missions.

There’s so much more, check it out.

I thought of something like this once, and I’m beating myself up for not implementing it.

Egg Nog Tea

February 14th, 2008 by monk

I came across this in my world travel for the best tea.  This has got to be one of the weirdest flavors I have ever seen. Who drinks this?

“Old Dan Tucker”

November 28th, 2007 by monk

I learned this song from my Great-Grandfather and my Grandfather as I was growing up. I never knew it was actually a song. I thought they made it up. All of my family is from the Ozark Mountain/Northwestern Arkansas region. So yes, I would be considered a Hillbilly.  Here is a wikipedia article about the song.

November 13th, 2007 by monk

I am still trying to figure this one out. Why would you want a picture of a cassette with your name on it? Since I am searching the couch cushions of the Internet, I thought why not post it.

November 9th, 2007 by monk

Here is a site that shows Apple/Mac computers from 1976 until present day. Pretty cool to see how far they have come. Funny thing is, I remember working on some of the earlier models when I was in Elementary.

[Monk sits back and rubs his chin looking blankly into the air] Good times, good times!

CoffeeBreakSpanish.com

October 30th, 2007 by monk

So I was doing some “research” on podcasts and vodcasts that are available on the web, so I can get some ideas, when out of the blue I stumble upon this website CoffeeBreakSpanish.com. It is a pretty neat idea, teaching others a new language through a podcast, but I know they have been around for a while, so that was not what was surprising. The hosts of the show are in Scotland and have a very thick accent. It is quite funny to listen to Scottish people speaking Spanish. Here is the preview clip.

Awesome painting in under a minute

Awesome “space painting” in under a minute. Depending on how many “cool things” you’ve seen today, this could be jaw-dropping once you realize what’s going on: Link.
